Leadership

Guided Teamwork in Roanoke

With the Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission as our backbone organization, the Roanoke Valley Collective Response is led by an advisory committee that meets monthly to assess the progress of our stakeholder meetings and set priorities. As of January 2020, the Collective Response includes participation from 250 community members representing 120+ organizations. We are represented by 6 jurisdictions (Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Salem City, Vinton, Botetourt County, and Franklin County), 8 sectors (Healthcare, law enforcement, community support, business, faith communities, education, local government, and research), and 7 thematic working groups (Prevention and Education, Crisis Intervention, Treatment, Housing, Workforce, Public Safety, and Recovery Services). A critical focus right now is the completion and implementation of an area-wide Blueprint for Action. Previously, our organization was supported by the Bradley Free Clinic and Family Service of Roanoke Valley.
